Harvest
Thank you to everyone who attended our wonderful Harvest Service in St Andrew’s Church. It was lovely to see so many families there to join in the celebration. Reverend David was thrilled that the church was fuller than it had been pre pandemic. The children sang and performed beautifully and it really felt like the ringing in of a new season. There was beautiful singing of ‘Autumn Leaves’ by Squirrel Class and impressive singing in the round from Hedgehog and Fox Classes. The ‘Wonderful World’ poems written by Owl Class are below.
What a Wonderful World by blue table
I see monkeys black, panthers too.
I see rainbows set over me and you.
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world.
I see skies full of birds and white clouds too.
The clouds are grey, the thunderstorm too.
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world.
I see fish swimming, sting rays too.
The birds sing a song, for me and you.
I see dolphins swim down to the coral.
Just like baby lions, they tend to quarrel.
They’re only saying I love you.
What a Wonderful World by green table
I see bushes of green, ivy too.
I see them rise for me and you.
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world.
I see stars gazing and sparkling bright
I see a brand new day and peaceful night
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world.
The colours of the blue sky,
So pretty like pink tie dye
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world.
What a Wonderful World by yellow table
I see a sea of blue that shines below you
I see hail going by, down from the sky
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world.
I see mountains filled with snow and the sun making it glow.
I see birds doing a show, whilst the others minds blow.
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.
The colours of birds, so pretty in the sky.
Sometimes you have to say goodbye.
People say how do you do.
But they’re really saying, I love you!
I see watermelons green, apples red.
I see a lion, jumping over my head.
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
